Wearable Props
At some point, everyone feels a little self-conscious on the dance floor. It’s much easier to “dance like nobody’s watching” if you’re in a disguise.
Take those wigs, hats, capes, and novelty glasses out onto the dance floor! In this case, the crazier they are, the better.

Light-up foam sticks are lightweight, affordable, and can be customized with your names, wedding hashtag, and wedding date. You could also add a little something extra with a sound-activated glow stick that changes colors with the music.
Wearable light-up items such as bow ties, glasses, cowboy hats, and necklaces are other popular options among wedding guests.

For sheer entertainment value, you can’t do better than inflatable instruments. Guitars, saxophones, and microphones are popular options that will have your guests channeling their inner rock stars.
Poppers with colored streamers are the perfect interactive celebratory prop. (Just make sure to check with your venue to purchase an approved option that is easy to clean up, like these no-mess poppers available on Amazon!)

Toss some beach balls onto the dance floor for a more tropical vibe! If you’re inviting small children, this will keep them busy for hours.
You can even hire a balloon artist to create custom interactive dance floor props for each guest!

Props that Celebrate Your Cultural Heritage
Your wedding props can be meaningful as well as fun. Think about how your props might also incorporate your cultural background.
For example, an hora loca (which translates to “crazy hour”) is a Spanish and Central American tradition meant to spice up the party whenever the reception excitement dies down. It is an hour filled with costumes, upbeat music, performers, and fun props for all the guests!

Many cultures feature a traditional money dance at their wedding reception. In some versions of this tradition, male guests line up in front of the bride to pin money on her dress while the women pin money on the groom. The pinning can get creative with bills pinned together as garlands, made into crowns, or streaming down their clothing. For a creative twist, you could incorporate money-themed props, like a cash cannon.

Change Up the Atmosphere
Sometimes, just changing up the vibe on the dance floor is all you need to keep the party going.
