One of the biggest questions we are asked at The Treasury on the Plaza is how we host both a wedding ceremony and reception in the same venue, our stunning Grand Ballroom. It’s actually much easier than you might think!
While you and your guests are enjoying cocktail hour or exploring the beautiful city of St. Augustine, our venue staff (and your amazing team of vendors!) are hard at work rearranging rows of chairs, moving centerpieces, and creating a miraculous wedding ceremony to reception transformation!

1. NEW YEAR’S EVE COMBINED WEDDING CEREMONY AND RECEPTION
Team Treasury rang in the New Year by celebrating Merlita and Ross and soaking in all of their dramatic details! We loved their stunning ceremony draping by Mugwump Productions, accented by beautiful floral arrangements by Tula Rose Floral and Events.
These floral arrangements transitioned perfectly from their ceremony to their wedding reception, sitting atop tables with gold sequin and red velvet linens.

2. CLASSIC WEDDING AND RECEPTION WITH ORGANIC DETAILS
Vonna and Jason’s wedding ceremony featured extra high pipe and drapes with an intricate tree lighting projection by Mark Grandin Events. Floral arrangements by Shea Hopely Flowers made up of roses, hydrangeas, eucalyptus, and dusty miller lined the aisle.
To go from the ceremony to the reception, these arrangements were repurposed on top of an elegant king’s table set for 36. Our antique “something blue” chairs served as unique seating for the bride and groom. Their elegant décor certainly made their wedding an affair to remember!

3. TRADITIONAL INDIAN WEDDING AND RECEPTION
Megah and Pavan brought so much life into our Grand Ballroom.
For their Treasury on the Plaza wedding ceremony, Dreams To Reality provided a breathtaking white and gold Mandap pavilion to symbolize growth and well-being in traditional Indian wedding ceremonies.
Two magnificent white floral peacocks welcomed guests at the end of the aisle, and the gold and white theme was carried into the wedding reception. By dimming the lights, lighting hundreds of candles, and uplighting the walls with brilliant blue spotlights, the Treasury team created a dramatic change in ambiance for the reception from the elegant and traditional wedding ceremony.

4. WEDDING CEREMONY AND RECEPTION INSPIRED BY FLORIDA’S NATURAL BEAUTY
Ariana and Justin brought the outdoors inside for their wedding ceremony and reception at The Treasury on the Plaza.
Destination Planning helped execute the bride and groom’s tropical vision for their big day by accenting their ceremony altar with palm leaves and orchids. The floral ceremony elements were then combined with the bride’s stunning bouquet to create an elaborate centerpiece on the sweetheart table during the reception. We loved all of the greenery and pops of color that they incorporated into their wedding décor!

5. DAZZLING GLAM WEDDING CEREMONY TO RECEPTION TRANSFORMATION
Summer and Mark’s wedding ceremony and reception had no shortage of romance.
St. Johns Illuminations created a dramatic ceremony backdrop featuring a glittering crystal chandelier. Awash in fuschia lighting from the cove lighting in the Grand Ballroom, the room was reminiscent of a fairytale palace.
For the reception, the chandelier and draping remained to create the perfect focal point above the head table while the rows of chairs were placed around tables around the room. Our jaws were on the floor for this ballroom transformation!

6. CLASSIC WHITE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION WITH SHOWSTOPPING FLORAL WALL
Liz and Jacob’s Treasury on the Plaza wedding was the epitome of modern elegance. The couple exchanged vows in front of a breathtaking floral wall created by the bride’s uncle, famed New York-based florist Raúl Àvila Inc.
The stunning floral elements of the wedding ceremony flawlessly transitioned into reception décor. We love how the floral wall provided the perfect backdrop for their wedding cake from Publix Bakery during the reception.
