The Vault at The Treasury on the Plaza is our pride and joy! Located in the center of The Grande Ballroom, the 20-ton Diebold safe certainly makes a statement. This architectural wonder has made a name for itself as the most unique bar in St. Augustine, but it can be utilized for so much more than just bar service on your big day. We are sharing a few fun ideas on how to incorporate The Vault into your photos, your guest experience, and even as a unique experience to make wedding planning a little bit more fun!
1. Bridal Gown Pictures
Every bride wants gorgeous shots of her wedding dress, right?! While you and your bridal party are doing the final touches on your hair and makeup in The Plaza Lounge, your photographer can capture a few unique shots of your dress with The Vault in the background.

2. Wedding Ceremony Backdrop
Many couples choose to keep the grand reveal of The Vault as a surprise for guests until their wedding reception. While we love the look of our classic ivory pipe and drape for a wedding ceremony, The Vault also makes a really unique wedding ceremony backdrop.

3. Cake or Dessert Backdrop
You put a lot of thought into the sweet treats that you serve at your wedding. So many of the beautiful cakes from the likes of Sweet Weddings Cake Designs and Crème de la Cocoa are works of art, and they need a special platform to receive the attention that they deserve. The door of The Vault creates the perfect background to display these culinary creations.

4. Complement Your Color Scheme
Did you know that The Vault is equipped with a multitude of LED lights that can be changed to match your theme or create a dramatic lighting backdrop for photos? Just look at how Chloe and Joe utilized the pink LED mirror lights, while Ashley and Brian used the purple lighting in The Vault to complement their purple lighting in the Grande Ballroom!

5. Grand Entrance into Your Reception
Do you want to make a statement entrance into your wedding reception? Send your wedding party through the main Grande Ballroom doors, and surprise your guests by popping out of The Vault through a dramatic pull-away curtain across the ballroom! We even have our Hollywood Special Effects Package if you want to add a little extra pizzaz with customized spotlighting, a fog machine, or haze machine.

6. Backdrop for Your Sweetheart Table or Head Table
Looking for the perfect spot for your sweetheart or head table? The area right in front of The Vault is a great spot! The best part: you don’t have to make the rounds to every table, because your guests will come right to you on their way to the bar!

8. Bar Tastings
Did you know that each of our Treasury couples is offered a complimentary bar tasting? Pull up a seat in The Vault, or relax on the sofa. You can review your bar package in a private tasting with your Wedding & Event Manager, and one of our very own Vault Bar mixologists!
