Tamisha and Jason brought style, elegance, and a whole lot of fun to The Treasury on the Plaza on their wedding day. To say these two, along with their guests, are the life of the party in any room is definitely an understatement. We didn’t want this incredible day to end. In fact, we are still wishing the DJ would play one more song!
Tamisha and Jason had fun getting ready and taking pictures in the Plaza Lounge and Banker’s Lounge before their wedding ceremony in the Grande Ballroom.
Can we talk about that kiss?!
While guests enjoyed appetizers and cocktails in the Exchange Gallery, the bride, groom, and bridal party took photos in the beautiful sunshine of the Plaza de la Constitución.
During cocktail hour, the Grande Ballroom was transformed from a classic white wedding ceremony venue into a modern and swanky reception space. We love the way that the lighting created a golden glow that blended perfectly with the blush floral arrangements and decor.
Just before formal introductions, the bridal party took a private moment to toast to the bride and groom while tucked away in their private suite.
No doubt, these newlyweds made an impact with their first introduction as husband and wife. The spotlit, starry first dance was just the icing on the cake!
The fun didn’t stop after the reception introductions. The bridal party owned the dance floor all night long!
It was a good thing that our bartending team in The Vault Bar kept the drinks flowing. They made sure guests had enough refreshments to keep up on the dance floor!
Tamisha and Jason had a horse and carriage meet them after their exit for a romantic tour of St. Augustine’s Nights of Lights.
It was such an honor to host Tamisha and Jason’s fun, elegant wedding at The Treasury on the Plaza! Read on for some words of wisdom from the bride.
Q&A with the bride, Tamisha
1. How did you two meet? How did Jason propose?
Jason and I met at a networking event here in Jacksonville. We were introduced to each other by a mutual friend. From there, we exchanged business cards and have been inseparable ever since. He proposed at my swearing in ceremony when I was being sworn in at the courthouse downtown as an attorney.
2. Where did you find your inspiration for your wedding?
My vision for our big day was to create a classy, memorable, romantic and fun-filled evening where family and close friends could celebrate with us. My inspiration came from the flowers I chose for our wedding decor. The pink and white Hydrangeas were so romantic and beautiful.
3. What was your most memorable moment of the big day?
The most memorable moment at our wedding was when the doors to the hall opened right before I walked down the aisle. I was able to see the beautiful decor, the smiling faces of our guests and most importantly the look of adoration on my husband’s face.
4. Any advice for future couples?
I would advise future brides and grooms to take all the help that is offered to them. I planned my entire wedding alone because I wanted it to be perfect, as a result, I became overwhelmed in the weeks before our big day. This could have been prevented had I allowed others to assist in the planning and preparations. I lost sight of what was important, which was to have fun.
