With a beautiful wedding ceremony at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine and wedding reception at The Treasury on the Plaza, Morgan and Tyler perfectly mixed tradition into their modern St. Augustine nuptials.
Morgan and Tyler wanted to share their special day with their many family members and friends who are spread out across the country, so we assisted them by setting up a live stream of their wedding ceremony on The Treasury on the Plaza YouTube channel. It was such a treat to see their ceremony unfold in real-time!
Morgan’s father works for wedding website The Knot, and one of our favorite moments during the ceremony was when Father Tom Willis, pastor of the Cathedral, used the letters K.N.O.T. to share some special words of wisdom with the couple.
During the wedding reception, Morgan and Tyler found unique ways to incorporate their Polish and Pennsylvania Dutch traditions. There was a traditional Polish Money Dance featuring lively polka music, where guests stood in a circle and gave a monetary gift in exchange for a dance with the bride. At the end of the song, the groom had to fight his way into the middle of the circle to find his bride! Later in the evening, guests were treated to a display of tasty Dutch cookies and desserts.
Morgan and Tyler perfectly mixed modern and traditional elements into their decor by selecting classic white florals and pairing them with sparkly silver linens and modern uplighting. Corner House Photography was there to capture all of the beautiful details…
