For their big day, Lara and Jono hosted a beautiful June wedding in St. Augustine. Like many of our modern-day wedding traditions, June weddings became popular thousands of years ago during the time of the Roman Empire. According to ancient tradition, couples who got married in June were blessed by Juno, the Roman goddess of love and marriage.
The mild climate in St. Augustine makes it perfect for weddings year-round. Being an indoor wedding venue, The Treasury on the Plaza is the perfect space for any event, no matter the weather!
We were honored to celebrate Lara and Jono at The Treasury on the Plaza! Let’s take a look at some of our favorite parts of their big day!
The couple chose our Intimate Wedding Package, which is perfect for events of 100 guests or fewer. Wedding planning is often overwhelming, but with this all-inclusive wedding package, the Olivers were free to enjoy the entire wedding experience without a care in the world.

Lara and Jono’s clean white color palette was the perfect choice for a June wedding and blended perfectly with The Treasury on the Plaza’s historic architecture. The venue was built in 1926 as a bank and when it was renovated into an event space in 2014, the Historic Vault was transformed into a stunning marble and granite bar.
The Olivers took everyone’s breath away when they said “I do” in a classic wedding ceremony. The wedding party wowed in black, which contrasted perfectly with the white pipe-and-drape backdrop. The couple opted to rent extra-tall ceremony draping from St. Johns Illuminations. We loved this dramatic ceremony look!
At their complimentary bar tasting, Lara and Jono opted for two classic signature drinks—an Old Fashioned and a tajin-rimmed margarita. Custom-made bar napkins pay homage to their beloved pup!
After the ceremony, the venue transformed into the ultimate reception space, complete with the original marble floor from the 192’s! Lara and Jono kicked off the evening with their first dance underneath a canopy of twinkling lights. Also included in their wedding package was a custom projection with the couple’s names and wedding date.
Guests had a blast thanks to the DJs with Y? Entertainment. (Did we mention that a DJ is included with the Intimate Wedding Package as well?) The Olivers also opted for a photo booth, which is the perfect souvenir at the end of the evening.
After a few dances, everyone was ready to satisfy their sweet tooth. The minimalist tiered cake and selection of cake pops made for the perfect wedding dessert table.
We enjoyed every minute of the Olivers’ June wedding, and we wish them a lifetime of love and happiness!
