Boy, did we luck out when Amber and Derrick chose The Treasury on The Plaza as their St. Augustine wedding venue! Not only is this couple beautiful on the outside (Really, could they be more good looking?), but their beautiful love for each other, and for all of their family and friends, radiated throughout their wedding day.
The duo met when Amber, a freelance sports journalist, interviewed Derrick, a former Cincinnati Reds left-fielder, at a red carpet event. Their busy schedules meant a long distance love story, but one with a happy ending! Derrick surprised Amber with a romantic proposal during a visit to see him play during Spring Training.

The bride wore beautiful pearl and crystal jewelry from Paris by Debra Moreland.
Amber and Derrick ditched the traditional wedding guestbook. Instead, guests signed customized jerseys in salute to Derrick’s love of baseball.
St John’s Illuminations created a magnificent backdrop with twinkling lights for the wedding ceremony.
Amber’s father passed away, and to honor his memory, she wore his shoes down the aisle with her uncle escorting her. There was not a dry eye in the audience for that special moment!
I think we can all agree that this wedding just might take the cake for the most photogenic bridal party. #squadgoals
We loved the sparkly gold, navy and cream color palette for the wedding reception in the Grande Ballroom.
The beautiful backdrop for the wedding ceremony was repurposed as a backdrop for the dessert display during the reception.
Incorporating family style rectangular tables gave a unique twist to the traditional reception decor.
