Q: What is the guest capacity for events?

We can comfortably accommodate up to 250 guests for seated banquets with a dance floor, and 450 guests for standing functions.

Q: How many events are held at The Treasury per day?

The Treasury is proud to only host one wedding per day. When choosing The Treasury for your wedding or special event, you and your guests are our number one priority.

Q: Does The Treasury have a space for a wedding ceremony? Is rehearsal time provided for my event?

Yes! Wedding ceremonies are held in our stunning Grande Ballroom. Our team, along with your other vendors will be on site to transform the space into the reception during your cocktail hour–which is typically held in the adjacent Exchange Gallery.

Your ceremony booking does include rehearsal time. Most rehearsals occur in the morning on the day prior to your event. We try to be as flexible as possible, depending on our event schedule.

Q: Do I need to provide my own insurance?

Clients are required to provide certificate of liability insurance showing limits of $1,000,000, for bodily injury and property damage, naming The Treasury on the Plaza as additional insured. Most policies range in price from $100-$200 for this type of coverage. Please contact a member of our team and we are happy to provide resources for securing this insurance.

Q: Is security for the event mandatory?

For the safety and security of your event, and to ensure that your event remains private, we do request that a member of the St. Augustine Police Department is on site during your event. Pricing for their services is a separate cost from your venue rental. Our team will arrange this on your behalf prior your event date. 

Q: Can we bring in outside alcohol for our event?

We do not allow outside alcohol to be served to guests. The Treasury is happy to assist you with providing alcohol and bar services for your event.  We look forward to working with you on customizing the perfect bar package to meet your needs.

Q: Is there a damage deposit and is it refundable?

The Treasury does require a $500 damage deposit to be held by check the month prior to the event date. This deposit is refundable after passing a venue inspection at the conclusion of your event.

Q: Is The Treasury on the Plaza wheelchair accessible?

Yes. All of our public spaces at The Treasury are wheelchair accessible. There is a wheelchair accessible entrance directly off of the parking lot at the back of the building.

Q: Do you have any smoking restrictions?

Smoking is not permitted inside The Treasury on the Plaza building. Smoking is allowed on the adjoining veranda space on the East side of the building.

Q: Are there any decoration restrictions?

We do have minimal restrictions to ensure that we maintain the beauty and safety of our magnificent historic building. Decor cannot be adhered to walls, floors, ceilings or columns. Balloons, open flame*, smoke machines, hanging lights, sparklers, glitter, confetti, bird seed and animals** are not permitted inside the building. (*Candles must be enclosed in a votive or holder **Service animals are permitted.)
